Location of the cottages of La Palma Rural

Cruz de Llano in El Pinar is located on the geografical coordinates28º42'20,89" (norh) and 17º55'57",48(east). This can be found on Google Earth. El Pinar is a great place for hiking and walking, to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Height of El Pinar is between 800 en 1.000 meter. Besides lovely nature, without bananeplantages it brings us quieteness and peace. Climate at this height may vary. Mostly the wintermonths are a bit cooler and the summermonths are a bit warmer than average. (see Climate La Palma).

It varies actually that much that it is difficult to say anything in general... Christmas 2006 we mounted the christmastree shortsleeved and in march 2007 we enjoyed heavy rains. The big advantage of the Southern location of the Canaries is that if the sun is shining it warms up in a minute.

Summers at La Palma are not that hot as many people think. In the end it is an island and there no such landclimate as the innerlands of Spain.
